TABE Preparation

Preparing for TABE

The TABE is a placement exam used to assess skills in Mathematics and Communications for Career and Technical programs. TABE results do not prevent entry into a specific program. EFSC uses the most current form of TABE Level A to met the Basic Skills requirement.

State-required minimum scores must be achieved by the program’s completion date to receive a certificate. Any subject tested below the score requirements will require retesting in that specific area. TABE exemptions may be available when the required scores are not met. The Testing and Assessment team will review your request to determine exemption eligibility. To submit a request click here.

TABE Platform

Students may practice navigating the TABE platform prior to testing or retesting.
Use Google Chrome, as TABE Online Tools function only using Chrome. Click here for the current TABE  Online Tools. Choose the subject to be reviewed.
