Dear Viewers:
With heavy hearts we share that Eastern Florida State College has made the difficult
decision to suspend operations of WEFS-TV due to the loss of two critical funding
sources which provided the financial foundation that made station operations possible.
This decision was reached only after a careful and comprehensive review of all available
options. Ultimately, the college could not responsibly absorb the loss of this funding
without diverting resources from academic programs, student services, and other essential
functions that directly support our students and educational mission.
We are deeply grateful for your loyalty and support over the years. Whether you contributed
financially, advocated for public broadcasting, or tuned in regularly, your support
has mattered.
Because of you, WEFS-TV was able to enrich lives, provide educational programming,
promote lifelong learning, and strengthen community connections across our region.
