Eastern Florida State College regularly holds contests and drawings to give current students a chance to win prizes. Explore the list in the accordion below for eligibility requirements, deadlines, how to enter, and more information about each promotion.

EFSC employees or students planning a college-sponsored promotion should review the process and submit a request to add rules to this page. Please note that requests must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the start of the promotion.

Titan Support Center Summer Workshop Drawings
Eligibility

The Titan Support Center Summer Workshop Drawings (the "Drawing") is open to currently enrolled Eastern Florida State College students taking at least one class who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia and are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees (including student employees) of Eastern Florida State College (the "Sponsor") and other companies associated with the promotion of the Drawing and their respective immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and household members are not eligible to win.

Drawing Period

The Drawing begins on 05/26/2026 at 10:00 AM ET and ends on 07/30/2026 at 03:30 PM ET (the "Drawing Period"). Entries that are submitted before or after the Drawing Period will be disqualified.

How to Enter

To enter the Drawing, eligible students should do the following during the Drawing Period:

Students who attend any Titan Support Center workshop during the summer term will be entered to win a summer-themed gift basket. Students must be registered in and actively attending at least one summer class in order to be eligible. Three winners will be selected in total, one per month in May, June, and July. Students may only win once.

Alternative Method of Entry:

Eligible students may email Lisa Casillas from their Titan student email accounts during the Drawing Period to indicate that they wish to be included in the Drawing.

Each entrant is only eligible to win one (1) prize throughout the duration of the Drawing, regardless of method of entry. Data pertaining to all entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Winner Selection

On 07/30/2026 at 03:30 PM ET, one or more entities working on behalf of the Sponsor will select the potential winner(s) at random from among all eligible entries in the following location: Melbourne Campus, Bldg. 10 Rm. 122B. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner(s) via video conference, social media, email, telephone, or in person on or around 07/30/2026. If the potential winner(s) cannot be contacted within five (5) days, the Sponsor may select alternate potential winner(s) from among the remaining eligible entries. Any prize having a total announced value of $5,000 or more must be offered in strict compliance with §849.094, Florida Statutes.

Prize(s)

Each eligible winner will receive one prize from among the following:

  • Summer Gift Basket including one folding beach mat, one pair of sunglasses, one water bottle, and one cooling towel, $30 value, 3 available

Prize retail value may differ at the time of award. The specifics of the prize(s), which is/are funded by the EFSC OSL and EFSC Foundation , will be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution(s) will be permitted, except at the Sponsor's discretion. All prizes are non-transferable and subject to income tax. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation, any and all federal, state, and/or local income taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. Any winner of a prize valued in excess of $600 at the time of award must provide their social security number, EIN, or TIN to Eastern Florida State College and shall receive an IRS Form 1099. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use a winner's name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

All prizes not picked up at the time of award must be picked up at Melbourne Campus, Bldg. 10, Rm. 122B (3865 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32935) within ten (10) days of the time of award notification.

May's Student Titan Talk Reader Drawing
Eligibility

The May's Student Titan Talk Reader Drawing (the "Drawing") is open to currently enrolled Eastern Florida State College students taking at least one class who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia and are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees (including student employees) of Eastern Florida State College (the "Sponsor") and other companies associated with the promotion of the Drawing and their respective immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and household members are not eligible to win.

Drawing Period

The Drawing begins on 05/04/2026 at 04:30 PM ET and ends on 05/27/2026 at 11:45 PM ET (the "Drawing Period"). Entries that are submitted before or after the Drawing Period will be disqualified.

How to Enter

To enter the Drawing, eligible students should do the following during the Drawing Period:

EFSC Students need to fill out and submit the Microsoft Form by 11:45 pm on 5-31-26 using their EFSC student email. The form will be sent via Titan Talk during May 2026. For this contest, student workers are eligible to win. Students may only win once during all 2026 Titan Talk Drawings.

Alternative Method of Entry:

Eligible students may email Danielle Macko from their Titan student email accounts during the Drawing Period to indicate that they wish to be included in the Drawing.

Winner Selection

On 05/28/2026 at 10:00 AM ET, one or more entities working on behalf of the Sponsor will select the potential winner(s) at random from among all eligible entries in the following location: Cocoa Campus, Bldg. 13 Rm. 124. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner(s) via video conference, social media, email, telephone, or in person on or around 04/01/2026. If the potential winner(s) cannot be contacted within five (5) days, the Sponsor may select alternate potential winner(s) from among the remaining eligible entries. Any prize having a total announced value of $5,000 or more must be offered in strict compliance with §849.094, Florida Statutes.

Each eligible winner will receive one prize from among the following:

Writing the American Dream: Intercampus Poetry & Prose Contest (Cocoa and Titusville)
Eligibility

The Writing the American Dream: Intercampus Poetry & Prose Contest (Melbourne and Palm Bay) (the "Contest") is open to currently enrolled Eastern Florida State College students taking at least one class who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia and are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry (or who submit a signed parent/guardian consent and release form). Employees (including student employees) of Eastern Florida State College (the "Sponsor") and other companies associated with the promotion of the Contest and their respective immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and household members are not eligible to win.

Contest Period

The Contest begins on 07/04/2026 at 08:00 AM ET and ends on 09/17/2026 at 12:00 PM ET (the "Contest Period"). Entries that are submitted before or after the Contest Period will be disqualified.

How to Enter

To enter the Contest, eligible students should do the following during the Contest Period:

Submit an entry online through the self-enrolled Canvas shell by 5 p.m. on Monday, September 7th, 2026. Students from the Cocoa or Titusville campuses should submit to the applicable North entry Canvas drop box, and students from the Melbourne or Palm Bay campuses should submit to the applicable South entry Canvas drop box. 

Students may submit 1 entry per person so can only enter prose or poetry and North or South. Entries will be judged by Monday, September 13th and winners will be notified following judging. While any form of poetry is permitted, prose should be creative nonfiction or personal narrative. 

  • Poems can be any form, no more than 3 minutes spoken.
  • Narrative essays should not exceed 3 minutes, roughly 500 words maximum. 
An awards ceremony will be held at the American Café on Thursday, September 17th. North region winners will attend the event on the Cocoa campus, and South region winners will attend the event on the Palm Bay campus. Winners are required to attend to be eligible for prizes.

Each entrant is only eligible to win one (1) prize throughout the duration of the Contest, regardless of method of entry. Data pertaining to all entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Winner Selection

On 09/17/2026 at 12:00 PM ET, one or more entities working on behalf of the Sponsor will select the potential winner(s) in accordance with the judging criteria (based on the following criteria: 1) illumination of theme with continuity of feeling and form; 2) impact of original ideas and expressive language; 3) mastery of technical conventions. Judges will evaluate prose submissions based on the following criteria: 1) clarity and coherence of ideas and voice to develop the theme; 2) use of literary elements and language for effect; 3) mastery of technical conventions. ) from among all eligible entries in the following location: EFSC Online, Canvas. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner(s) via video conference, social media, email, telephone, or in person on or around 09/14/2026. If the potential winner(s) cannot be contacted within five (5) days, the Sponsor may select alternate potential winner(s) from among the remaining eligible entries. Any prize having a total announced value of $5,000 or more must be offered in strict compliance with §849.094, Florida Statutes.
