COVID-19 Related Notice

Eastern Florida State College is in the process of reopening its Campuses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Until further notice, all officers are required to bring appropriate PPE (face covering or masks, and disposable gloves) when coming to training and shall be required to follow ALL safety protocols set forth by the college during each stage of the reopening process. As these will change, a safety briefing will precede each course introduction and the College will provide current requirements.

Our current protocol, unless otherwise posted, requires a face covering and gloves during all High Liability Training, not including instructional periods. At all other times, when the six-feet social distancing mandate cannot be met, officers are REQUIRED to use their face covering in all instances on Campus (i.e. parking lot, outside college buildings, inside college buildings and classrooms).

EFSC's Public Safety Institute offers Advanced & Specialized Training Courses for professionals working as law enforcement/corrections and correctional probation officers.

  • Training Authorization Forms (15A/Agency Approval Letters) are required for all officers in order to attend classes.

  • ALL CLASSES ARE TUITION TRUST FUNDED FOR REGION VII SWORN OFFICERS. Seats are available to all others on a space available basis only. Inactive officers or non-sworn individuals who are not affiliated as paid full-time support personnel with a law enforcement or correctional agency may attend only those classes which indicate a Tuition Rate.

  • As a training center, we are not an employing agency and cannot enter inactive or non-sworn individuals training credit for classes into the FDLE/ATMS system. This must be done by a law enforcement or correctional employing agency.

  • Attendance Policy: Full attendance is mandatory for all Advanced & Specialized Courses.

  • Classes may be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met. There must be sufficient attendance to support the costs to run the class.

Thank you for allowing EFSC to service your training needs.
