EFSC's Aerospace Technician College Credit Certificate (CCC) program is your gateway to a fulfilling career as an aerospace technician. What's more, the credits and skills you acquire through this program can serve as a direct pathway to the workforce or be a solid foundation for pursuing a future college degree. This 43-credit-hour CCC is seamlessly integrated into EFSC's Aerospace Technology A.S. degree program.
Aerospace Technician - Certificate Program
If you're already working in the aerospace industry, our program can enhance your career prospects, boost your employability, and update your knowledge with the latest technology and information. The CCC includes the same major courses as the A.S. degree but eliminates general education requirements and there is no placement testing required for the certificate program.

Aerospace Technician Certificate - Course Curriculum
At Eastern Florida's Cocoa Campus, you'll experience a hands-on learning environment designed to equip you with practical skills for the real world. All program courses are conducted in-person, ensuring immersive instruction and guidance. You'll gain valuable skills, such as soldering, wire wrapping, potting, crimping, and cable repair. You'll also learn how to assemble, operate, inspect, and test fluid systems, as well as develop expertise in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical circuits.
As a program participant, you'll delve into advanced concepts and acquire the practical know-how needed to successfully complete a structural fabrication project based on drawings and specifications. Additionally, you'll become proficient in reading blueprints, understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerances, and utilizing precision measuring and testing equipment. Your journey will involve hands-on experience with industry-specific tools and devices, ensuring your competency in the field.
To join the Aerospace Technician CCC program, you'll need to complete a special application process in addition to EFSC's general admission application. The program has day and evening cohorts, based on what term you begin the program. How to Apply to the Aerospace Technician Program
Before you begin, it's essential to check the upcoming application deadlines to ensure that you've chosen the cohort option that best suits your needs.

The first step to apply is requesting the Information Package via the email button below. The package includes the admission requirements.
Because this is a limited access program with a special application process, it is important for prospective students to receive answers to any questions from the program advisor.

This step is specifically for students who are not currently enrolled at EFSC.
To begin the application process, you should complete and submit the online application for general admission to EFSC. Please keep in mind that there's a $30 non-refundable fee that needs to be paid at the time of application.
To ensure that you meet all the necessary requirements for general admission, it's essential to closely collaborate with the main EFSC Admissions Office.
If you're a new EFSC student, the general admissions acceptance letter and email you receive will include a list of requirements that you need to fulfill. These requirements include providing your high school and college transcripts, applying for financial aid (if desired), declaring your residency for tuition purposes, and more.
By completing these tasks, you'll prevent any account holds that could potentially hinder your registration process if you're accepted into the Aerospace Technician program. It's also crucial for current EFSC students to verify that they don't have any holds that might interfere with course registration. Learn how to access the Student Message Center to check for and clear holds.
Only proceed to this step once you've received your acceptance letter from EFSC Admissions (or if you're already a student at EFSC).
Your general admissions acceptance letter will include a Titan student email address and Titan Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials, which you will need to access the myEFSC student portal.
After you receive these credentials, log in to submit the limited-access Career and Technical/Trades application. Remember, this application is in addition to the general application and must be correctly submitted before the application deadline.

Brief Costs and Financial Aid Eligibility
If you're an in-state student, the tuition cost for the Aerospace Technician Certificate at EFSC is around $4,475. Keep in mind that this doesn't cover additional expenses like lab fees, access fees, and course materials. However, there are opportunities for financial aid, scholarships, or Veterans Educational Benefits that could lower your out-of-pocket expenses.
College Courses You Would Take
If you've taken specific courses at a Brevard Public Schools high school, you may be eligible for advanced standing credit. This allows you to earn college credit for your previous coursework, saving you both time and money as you pursue your certificate. Additionally, if you have an FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Certificate or a SpaceTEC Certified Aerospace Technician Certificate, you might qualify for college credit as well. To determine your eligibility, it's best to consult with the program advisor.
If you're a full-time student, you can usually finish this program in three to four semesters. Throughout the 13 college courses required for the Aerospace Technician CCC, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience, skills, and practical knowledge that will enhance your career prospects in the aerospace industry.

Learn aerospace industry terms and acronyms. Curriculum focuses on inspection, safety, regulations, and good practices. Interactive activities are included.
Get hands-on experience in soldering, wire wrapping, potting, crimping, and cable lacing. Learn about fiber optics assembly, printed circuit repair, and cable installation.
Explore spacecraft systems like hydraulics, electrical, propulsion, and more. Learn how these systems interact with computer and data acquisition systems.
Explore QA engineering, including computer-based analysis tools. Understand hazard ID, PPE use, and safety procedures (including OSHA regulations and hazardous materials).
