EFSC's Mechatronics program is a 30-credit-hour College Credit Certificate (CCC) that will prepare you for a career in advanced manufacturing.
You'll learn how to assemble, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated machinery.
The program provides a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training in a lab setting, giving you the knowledge and skills needed for employment in the industry.
The Mechatronics Certificate can be pursued as a standalone qualification or as a stepping stone toward earning the associated Engineering Technology A.S. degree.

The curriculum covers a wide range of topics including safety and quality issues, the use and care of metal fabrication tools and equipment, precision measurement, electronic circuitry, computer-aided design (CAD), robotics, fluid systems, and programmable logic controllers.
Mechatronics Certificate - Admissions Information
The Mechatronics CCC is an open-access program with ongoing admissions. Simply apply using the general application process. The program's extensive coursework prepares graduates for employment without any general education or placement testing requirements, making it a popular option for students who want a hands-on path to a career.

College Courses You Would Take
Your Mechatronics training will provide valuable industry knowledge and technical skills that you can apply immediately. If you attend full-time, it typically takes about three semesters or approximately a year to complete the certificate. For part-time students, it may take a bit longer. These are just some of the courses you'll take:
Explores parallel and series DC circuits, resistance, Ohm's Law, circuit analysis methods, AC generation, inductance, capacitance, and more.
Covers OSHA compliance, environmental safety standards, various workplace hazards, industrial hygiene, and more.
Provides a basic foundation for mechanical measurement techniques used in manufacturing environments including the principles of instrument use.
Introduces the principles of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and how they operate in manufacturing applications, and analyzes fluid circuits.
