Serving Titans in Need
The Titan2Titan program at Eastern Florida State College provides assistance to EFSC students, faculty and staff in need through a food pantry and professional clothing closet, which are stocked through donations by other members of the EFSC community and the general public.
The Titan2Titan food pantry and clothing closet are available to any Eastern Florida State College student, faculty or staff member in need. To access Titan2Titan services, contact your Campus Office of Student Life Coordinator through the contact information. View EFSC's Notice of Nondiscrimination.
Eligibility
A valid EFSC ID with proof of current enrollment/employment is required for registration. Learn how to obtain an EFSC ID card. Students must also show a copy of their current class schedule, which may be obtained by logging into myEFSC (Click: Titan Web > Student Services > Registration > Student Detail Schedule).
Food Pantry Procedures
Upon registration, students and employees using the service will be issued a food card, which will be required for each visit. Registered individuals may visit the pantry two (2) times per month. The amount of food that can be taken at each visit is based on need: two (2) bags for individuals or three (3) bags for families.
Food selection is by the visitor's choice, with the exception of popular or limited food items. A list will be provided as reference concerning "silver shelf" items and the number that can be taken at each visit. This may be limited due to the amount of "silver shelf" items we have in the pantry.
Professional Clothing Closet Procedures
Registered individuals may visit the closet one (1) time per academic term and take up to two (2) pieces of each type of clothing article (tops, bottoms, shoes, jackets, jewelry, ties, accessories, etc.).
Titan2Titan volunteer program
The Titan2Titan program at Eastern Florida State College relies not only on donations, but also on volunteer hours donated by members of the EFSC community.
Students interested in volunteering must first register with the Center for Service-Learning & Civic Engagement.
Once you have registered, bring your placement forms to the Office of Student Life on your campus to set up days and times to volunteer. Volunteering must be completed during normal business hours under the supervision of the Student Life Coordinator or designee.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Examples of tasks Titan2Titan volunteers may be asked to perform include:
- Cleaning shelves and floors
- Sorting food donations onto shelves by category
- Stocking food shelves by first-in, first-out based on expiration
- Checking for and disposing of expired foods
- Taking inventory of donated clothing items
Food and professional clothing donations may be dropped off at the Office of Student Life on each Campus during normal business hours. Please note that the College is closed on Fridays.
