EFSC maintains as one of the four pillars of its 2025-2030 strategic plan high academic
standards across its associate and bachelor's degree programs, workforce education,
technical training, and continuing education offerings. The College is dedicated to
providing students with a strong educational foundation focused on core abilities
or skills needed for lifelong learning and career success, including working cooperatively,
thinking critically and solving real-world problems, processing information, modeling
ethical and civic responsibility, and communicating effectively. To streamline workforce
entry, academic communities at EFSC represent eight distinct career pathways aligned
to the State of Florida meta-majors as a way to group academic programs to help students
progress to degree and certificate completion as preparation for rewarding careers.

Eastern Florida State College has more than 150 degree and certificate options, including the popular Associate in Arts university transfer degree, plus Associate in Science degrees and certificate programs that prepare graduates for the workforce.
