Phlebotomy Program to Hold Information Session

April 23, 2018

Faculty and staff at the Eastern Florida State College Phlebotomy Program will host an orientation and information session for the Fall 2018 class on Wednesday, May 16 at 6 p.m. on the Cocoa Campus in Bldg. 20, Room 104.

The Cocoa Campus is located at 1519 Clearlake Road.

There is no charge to attend the session and no advance program application is necessary. The deadline to apply for the Fall 2018 class is Friday, June 1 and attending the May info session is part of that application process.

This one-semester program of study teaches the techniques and theory necessary for employment as an entry-level Phlebotomist, a healthcare professional who collects blood so it can be analyzed in a clinical laboratory.

Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take a national certification exam (State of Florida certification not required).

Students must be 18 years of age to be accepted into the Phlebotomy Program.
