Law Enforcement Certification Program Available for Corrections Officers

The Public Safety Institute at Eastern Florida State College is now recruiting for the 2014 Correctional Officer Cross-Over to Law Enforcement Officer Academy.

The deadline to apply for this part time academy is Feb. 28, 2014. The program begins on April 7.

The Academy provides Correctional Officers with an additional certification as a Law Enforcement Officer.

Applicants must possess a current Correctional Officer Certification in the State of Florida, or have completed the Corrections Academy within the last four years and passed the Correctional Officer State Certification Exam.

Additionally, candidates must complete a specialized application process with the Public Safety Institute.
