FortifyFL
Report Suspicious Activity. Keep our Campus Safe!
Eastern Florida State College is committed to providing a safe and secure environment
for students, employees and visitors. Safety is a shared responsibility, and members
of the College community are encouraged to report suspicious activity or potential
threats.
FortifyFL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows students and members
of the community to report unsafe, potentially harmful, dangerous, violent or criminal
activity, including threats of such activity, to appropriate law enforcement agencies
and school officials.
If there is an immediate threat or emergency, call 911.
How FortifyFL Works
FortifyFL allows you to:
- Submit a report through the FortifyFL website or mobile app
- Provide a description of the suspicious activity or threat
- Include photos or videos with your report
- Submit your name and contact information or remain anonymous
Reports are automatically routed to the appropriate school officials and law enforcement
agencies so they can review the information and take appropriate action.
Submit a Report
You can access FortifyFL online or download the mobile app:
When submitting a report, provide as much specific information as possible. You may
include your name and contact information or submit the report anonymously. FortifyFL
also allows users to access previous reports and submit updates or additional information.
Anonymous Reporting and Confidentiality
You may submit a FortifyFL report anonymously. If you choose to provide your identity,
that information will be shared with the appropriate law enforcement agency and school
officials and must be maintained as confidential.
Unless you choose to disclose your identity, your report will remain anonymous except
when an investigation determines that a person knowingly submitted a false tip.
False Reports
FortifyFL is intended for reporting legitimate safety concerns and threats. It should
never be used to submit false or misleading information.
If an investigation determines that a person knowingly submitted a false tip through
FortifyFL, the Internet Protocol, or IP, address of the device used to submit the
tip will be provided to law enforcement for further investigation. The person who
submitted the false tip may also be subject to criminal penalties under Section 837.05,
Florida Statutes.
About FortifyFL
FortifyFL was created and funded by the Florida Legislature in 2018 as part of the
Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. The Florida Department of
Law Enforcement, Florida Department of Education and Florida Office of the Attorney
General coordinated the tool’s development and implementation.
