Enrollment Closes:  6 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025

IMPORTANT: THIS IS A CHANGE-ONLY OPEN ENROLLMENT

If you do not enroll, the benefits you chose last year will roll over into 2026.

Once Open Enrollment begins, you may contact the People First Service Center for assistance at 866-663-4735 (TTY users call 866-221-0268) on weekdays from 8 AM to 6 PM, ET.

The EFSC employee benefits will be offered through the Florida College System (FCS) State Group Insurance Program (SGIP) and will be managed through the state's web-based personnel system (People First).

What's New for 2026

Life Insurance

MetLife is the new life insurance plan. Your Securian Life Insurance choice and your Beneficiary choice(s) will transfer to the MetLife Life Insurance Company.

Rate Increases

Dental Plans
Increases for all plans except: Sun Life Prepaid, Humana Prepaid, Humana Indemnity Schedule B. 

Humana Vision Plan

Limit Increases

Dependent Care FSA Limit Increase

Taxpayers who file returns as Single OR Married, Filing Jointly
Annual Maximum: $7,500 (up from $5,000)
Taxpayers who file returns as Married, Filing Separately
Annual Maximum: $3,750 (up from $2,500)

HSA Limit Increase

Single Coverage: $4,400
Family Coverage: $8,750

Medical Insurance

Medical Insurance for Dependents

If you are covering dependents, please be prepared to upload copies of acceptable verification documents. Submit the documents only AFTER you have enrolled in one of the plans during open enrollment.

Dental

There are four plan types — Prepaid Dental Plan, PPO Dental Plan, Indemnity with PPO Dental Plan, and Indemnity Dental Plan, with a variety of providers offering a total of 14 plans. Review each plan to ensure that you choose the one that will best cover the dental care needed for you or for you and your family.  

Vision

The Humana Vision Plan is the only option offered.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

The FSA is administered by Chard Snyder. Submit all of your 2025 claims by April 30, 2026. Medical max is $ 7500; Dependent Care max is $3750. A maximum of $660 will carry over from current plan year (ending 12/31/2025) for Healthcare and Limited Purpose FSAs. Any funds above this amount will be forfeited. 

Pharmacy

OptumRx is the program administrator, which includes Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, Publix, and independent pharmacies.

Coverages through EFSC Only

One America Short-Term / Long-Term Disability: This is a different plan than the one offered through People First.  If you are already enrolled in this plan through EFSC, it will roll over; if you are not enrolled & want to enroll, contact the HR Benefits Office.

The Standard life basic insurance provided by EFSC will roll over.
