Creative Non-Fiction and Literary Analysis Form

The creative non-fiction and literary analysis edition of The Lantern will be published each Fall semester. Students, staff, and faculty at EFSC may submit up to three pieces each semester. Writing may include any form of original creative non-fiction or literary analysis.

We welcome writing of any length. No piece is too short. Writers with pieces that exceed 3,000 words, however, may receive conditional acceptance offers with publication contingent on serializing or excerpting their work.

For consideration in the Fall 2026 issue, please send pieces by June 12. If you have additional questions, please email Robert Allen at allenrob@easternflorida.edu.
