AI Fundamentals

Eastern Florida State College invites adult learners and professionals to explore the fast-growing world of artificial intelligence through its AI Fundamentals course. This flexible, fully online program provides a practical introduction to how AI works, where it’s used, and how to think critically about its impact—no coding experience required.

Dates: June 29 – August 7
Format: Fully Online (Virtual)
Days/Times: Mondays, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Total: 3 live sessions (approximately 1.5 hours each)

Students will complete weekly projects and activities designed to reinforce key concepts and provide hands-on experience with real-world AI applications.

This six-week course combines live, instructor-led sessions with self-paced learning modules, making it ideal for individuals who want structured guidance with the flexibility to learn on their own schedule.

Course Description

This introductory course explores the fundamentals of artificial intelligence in a way that is accessible, practical, and engaging. Students will gain a clear understanding of how AI systems function, the types of problems they solve, and how they are used across industries today.

The course emphasizes critical thinking and real-world applications, helping students evaluate both the opportunities and challenges associated with AI—without requiring any programming background.
