The Florida Department of Health in Brevard County will be offering free, walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations to all Eastern Florida State College students and employees Wednesday, Oct. 13 at the Melbourne Campus Gym, Building 6.

The vaccination opportunity will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with no appointment required.

They will bring either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccinations that day, depending on availability at the time. Both vaccines are two-dose regimens and your second vaccination appointment will be given to you at the time you receive the first dose.

“This is an important opportunity for members of our college community to protect themselves, their families and others from the virus. That’s why we strongly encourage everyone to become vaccinated,” said Joe Ambrose, EFSC’s Chief of Security and Director of Emergency Management.

Anyone who cannot attend Oct. 13 should visit Brevard County's 211 Information site for information about how to get free COVID vaccinations (first or second dose) at other locations.

This will be the third on-campus vaccination effort, with previous inoculation opportunities held in April and July. EFSC nursing students will again be helping provide the shots.
