EFSC Now Accepting Applications for Law Enforcement Academy

October 20, 2015

The Public Safety Institute at Eastern Florida State College is recruiting candidates for the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program. The application deadline is November 30, 2015.

The police academy begins on Jan. 25, 2016 and runs approximately 21 weeks. Seats are limited so interested students are advised to apply quickly to increase the odds of being selected.

Candidates must complete the online application for admission to Eastern Florida State College, as well as the Brevard Police Testing and Selection Center’s screening process.

This is a limited access program that requires candidates to complete both Written and Physical Abilities Tests, a Polygraph Examination and a Background Investigation.

The academy program prepares candidates for entry-level positions as police officers and deputy sheriffs. Upon meeting all statutory requirements, graduates may gain certification through employment with any law enforcement agency in Florida.
