Students Need ID Sticker to Ride Free SCAT Buses

August 19, 2013

A special sticker is required on student identification cards starting this term to ride free on Space Coast Area Transit buses.

Students can get their new Eastern Florida State College ID card at the libraries on the Titusville, Cocoa, Melbourne and Palm Bay campuses. The card also serves as the college library card.

The libraries plus cashiers' office on each campus can also supply a gold sticker with the number "13" that must be placed on the ID card to ride without cost on SCAT buses in Brevard County.

The stickers must be on the IDs by September first to gain the free SCAT bus access.

Several groups of students can also get their EFSC identification cards at their campus security office. This option only applies to those registered in health sciences or nursing, student government association officers and student aides.

Be sure to get your new student ID now, and tell your friends about the bus sticker option as a great way to save money on transportation.
