Important Notices:

The Fall semester 2026 is currently open for all local Non- F1 Visa student applicants. The Fall semester starts on Tuesday, September 08, 2026.  At this point we will not be admitting any more F1 International students for the Fall of 2026. If you want to attend as an F1 student in the Spring of 2027, please contact our department in September of 2026. We will start the process of admitting F1 students as of September 1st, 2026. The Spring semester starts on Monday, January 25, 2027.

We are currently offering online testing for all new Non- F1 Visa student applicants.  The online placement test is done through a 3rd party Company called Speak Now. The fee for the test is $11.00 and is non-refundable. Taking the test does not guarantee admission into the program. However, once students are admitted to the program, your test grade determines your level of English proficiency. This will ensure that we place you at the correct level. A student may request to retake the test once at no extra cost within 7 days of the initial test date. If a student wants to retake the test at any other time, the student must repay for the test.

Intensive English Program

If English isn't your native language, you're in the right place!

Si el inglés no es su idioma nativo, nuestro programa lo ayudará!
Si anglais est pas votre langue maternelle, ce programme adresse à vos besoins!

Eastern Florida State College, located near the beautiful beaches of Florida's Space Coast, offers a comprehensive Intensive English Program (IEP) designed for non-native English speakers who are deeply committed to enhancing their language proficiency.

This rigorous program, which accommodates both international F-1 visa students and those who don't require an F-1 visa, is valuable for working professionals and students preparing for university studies or professional programs. Participants come from more than 50 countries, and our small class sizes, averaging around six students, provide ample individual attention and opportunities to develop conversational skills.

Instruction covers all aspects of the English language, including reading, listening, speaking, grammar, writing, voice and speech improvement, and TOEFL test preparation.

Course Registration

The way you sign up for the Intensive English Program depends on whether you're an international student with an F-1 visa or a local resident without one. Regardless of your visa status, if you're new to the program, you'll need to take a placement test upon entering the program to determine your level of English proficiency.
