EFSC’s EMT and Paramedic Programs Now Accepting Applications

Eastern Florida State College’s Public Safety Institute is now accepting applications
for its Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic programs.
Application Deadlines: All applications for both the Paramedic and the EMT programs must be submitted by
Sunday, October 4, 2026.
Intake Sessions (Mandatory - Applicants will be notified with further information by email) Tuesday,
October 20, 2026
Location: EFSC Melbourne Campus Student Union (Building 16)
Paramedic Program: 9 a.m.
EMT Program: 1p.m.

Application Requirements:
Prospective students must complete:
The online application for admission to Eastern Florida State College.
A separate online application to the Public Safety Institute.
The EMT program prepares students for entry-level roles in emergency medical and first
responder services. Graduates may pursue certification to continue into fire service
or paramedic training.
The Paramedic program prepares students with advanced emergency medical services skills.
Graduates earn an EFSC certificate in prehospital advanced life support and are eligible
to take the Florida Paramedic State Board examinations.
