Non-Credit Welding Course
Spring 2024 Class: January 29 - March 21, 2024
Monday - Thursday, 5 to 9 PM - Registration available soon.
In this non-credit welding course at Eastern Florida State College, you'll have the flexibility to specialize in one of three popular welding methods:
- Shielded Metal Arc (SMAW),
- Gas Metal Arc (GMAW), or
- Gas Tungsten Arc (GTAW).
In this course, you'll learn about fundamental safety protocols, interpreting welding symbols, and blueprints. Instruction will also encompass selecting and setting up basic equipment, mastering arc manipulation, and understanding the characteristics of weld beads.
This practical, eight-week program takes place Monday through Thursday (except for holidays) from 5 PM to 9 PM on EFSC's Cocoa Campus.
Taught by our experienced welding instructor, the evening schedule is designed to accommodate both hobbyists and working adults looking to advance their careers. Whether you're passionate about car restoration, motorcycle repair, or metal sculpting as an artist, welding skills are highly valuable.
Additionally, completing this course could serve as a gateway to EFSC's year-long Welding Technology Certificate program.
