Applying for EFSC Honors Program

To qualify for the Honors Program, students seeking an Honors Diploma or simply Honors Affiliate status must meet one of the following requirements and apply by the program admission deadline using the Honors Program application. (The application is a downloadable PDF that should be saved to your device, filled out, and signed, which can be a digital signature. The completed application should be submitted to the Honors Office through the Student Document Dropbox available in the myEFSC Portal).

  • Be enrolled in EFSC's Associate in Arts or an Associate in Science degree program. (EFSC bachelor degree programs are not part of the honors program).
  • Students with no college experience or fewer than 12 hours of college credit must have a high school GPA of 3.5 or above on an unweighted scale as demonstrated on their most recent official high school transcript, plus one of the following:

    • SAT Re-Design Scores
      Reading: 24
      Writing and Language: 25
      Math: 25

    • ACT Scores
      Reading 19
      English 17
      Math 20

    • PERT Score of 116 or above in Sentence Skills, Reading and Math
  • Students with 12 hours or more of college credit must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA from at least 12 credit hours of General Education college-level work.

The Honors Program application is a saveable, writable PDF form that can be downloaded and filled out on your device. Once completed, submit the application and any supporting documents to the "Honors" office in the Student Document Dropbox available after logging into the myEFSC Portal.
