Celebrate National Library Week 2016 and Enter to Win Great Prizes

April 6, 2016 – Eastern Florida State College, in partnership with all campus libraries, will celebrate National Library Week April 10-16 with the theme “Libraries Transform.” Events or activities will be held at each campus and include the opportunity to win a variety of prizes.

Cocoa, Melbourne, Palm Bay and eLearning Students

National Library Week Butterfly ImageEFSC students are encouraged to share stories about how libraries have transformed their lives. Statements of 100 words or less may be submitted in person to the Circulation Desk at the Cocoa, Melbourne or Palm Bay libraries. eLearning students may submit their stories via email to LibraryB@easternflorida.edu. Entries must be submitted by Saturday, April 16. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges comprised of faculty/staff; winning stories will be displayed at each campus library.

National Library Week Event, April 14, 10-11 AM – Dr. Phil Simpson will present on the book “The Greatest Arsenal We Could Have: The Library in the Life of the Writer.” Dr. Simpson will give away an autographed copy of the book “Psycho Paths: Tracking the Serial Killer through Contemporary American Film and Fiction.” This event will be held at Building 5, Room 136. Refreshments will be served.
