Landman Remains as EFSC Trustees Chair

August 10, 2020 - Alan Landman was selected Monday for another term as chair of Eastern Florida State College’s Board of Trustees.

The move came in a unanimous vote by the Board, which also renamed Ronald Howse as Vice-Chair. Trustees said the continuity of leadership was important as the college faces challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Alan Landman“It’s an honor to receive the vote of confidence from my fellow trustees and remain in the post. I’m confident the college will overcome the obstacles the virus has put in our path, and know the safety of students and employees will always come first,” said Landman.

College President Dr. Jim Richey said the college was fortunate to have Landman and the other trustees at the helm during this difficult period in EFSC’s history.

“They are a highly talented and experienced group of individuals who know the college and our community well. Working  together, I have no doubt we will succeed in continuing to provide students with an excellent education,” said Richey.

Along with Landman and Howse, the Board consists of trustees Moses L. Harvin Sr., Bruce Deardoff and Dr. Edgar Figueroa.

Landman, a Melbourne attorney, has served on the Board since 2009 and previously held the chairmanship several times.
