Jazz Concert to Feature Popular Favorites

November 9, 2014 - The Eastern Florida State College Jazz Band will present Big Band Favorites on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 PM in the Simpkins Center on the Cocoa Campus, 1519 Clearlake Road, Cocoa, FL 32922.

Under the direction of their conductor, James Bishop, the EFSC Jazz Band will play an evening of jazz standards, including the music of Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Buddy Rich.

The audience will enjoy familiar songs such as “I Got Rhythm,” “Take the A Train,” “Makin’ Whoopee,” “Keep the Customer Satisfied” and “One Note Samba.” The evening will feature saxophone soloist Jorge Ramos on the jazz classic "Round Midnight."

General admission is $6 with tickets sold at the door.
