Fall Choral Concert Features EFSC Students

November 5, 2014 - The Eastern Florida State College Concert Choir and Madrigal Ensemble will present a “Fall Choral Concert” on Wednesday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cocoa Campus Simpkins Fine Arts Center located at 1519 Clearlake Rd.

The Concert Choir is comprised of both music majors and talented non-majors. They will perform music in English, Latin and German spanning two hundred years of the choral arts.

The Madrigal Ensemble, a specialized early-music group auditioned from within the Concert Choir and comprised primarily of music majors, will perform English madrigals by 16th century composer Thomas Morley, a chorus from one of G. F. Handel’s oratorios and a Latin motet by Francis Poulenc, one of France’s preeminent 20th century composers.

General admission tickets are $6 each and can be pre-purchased online.

Tickets will also be available at the door on the evening of the concert.

All EFSC and Brevard Public Schools students will be admitted free with proper school ID.
