EFSC Remote (Virtual) and On-Campus Testing Options
Online Scheduler in place for face-to-face testing appointments by Campus: details below
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Eastern Florida State College continues to offer several testing options through remote, virtual platforms. As Campuses have reopened for in-person services, limited on-campus testing services are available for some exams. View the chart below for test availability (both on-campus and remote) plus information on how to make an appointment. In-person test appointments take place at the Cocoa, Melbourne, and Palm Bay EFSC Assessment Centers.
To participate in Remote Testing options, students must agree to all EFSC Remote Virtual Testing Polices. Students with a documented disability can view details on how to request accommodations and should allow extra time for that process.
Use the chart below for the latest information on which exams are currently available, both remotely and on campus, and follow the links for more information on how to register.
• Remote ACCUPLACER via Examity with PC or laptop equiped with a webcam and microphone and reliable internet access. This option must be used for students desiring math placement higher than College Algebra. Request an ACCUPLACER exam.
• Limited on-campus PERT testing at the Cocoa, Melbourne and Palm Bay Campus Assessment Centers. Testing is done by appointment only, Mon. - Thurs., starting at 9 AM. The last appointment start time for the full PERT exam is 1:45 PM and appointments for single-subject PERT exams are being made up to 3 PM. Under EFSC safety protocols, as of May 19, 2021, masks are optional and not mandatory at EFSC due to new CDC guidance. You can bring a photo ID and car keys only (no wallets, purses, or cell phones). Lockers for securing personal items are not available. To schedule an on-campus appointment for a face-to-face PERT testing appointment, use the RegisterBlast online system and any test fee due and a handling fee will be assessed at the time the test appointment is made. RegisterBlast is available for self-service scheduling by Campus, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will display all available seats for scheduling. Students will have the ability to cancel their test appointment or reschedule up to 24 hours in advance of test appointment.
Requests for Retest via the RegisterBlast system will be screened by test center staff to ensure the appropriate subjects are selected and fees will only be assessed where due. Click here to review EFSC’s Retest Policy. Requests to schedule retests may require up to 3 business days for the Testing and Assessment Staff to provide the appropriate Access Code needed to schedule the retest appointment so check the email used when requesting the retest. All required test fees will be paid via RegisterBlast with a credit card and a small handling fee at the time the test is scheduled. Refunds for No Shows will not be refunded.
Due to the high demand for testing and limited seating capacity in the Assessment Centers, students should consider taking the ACCUPLACER test virtually with Examity if they desire an earlier test appointment.
