What positions are available?
Job announcements are posted and circulated locally. Many are published in the news media, journals and/or other widely circulated advertising media. In addition, announcements are posted on this website.
Is an application required?
Yes. All applicants must apply online in order to be considered for employment at EFSC. The application is required to provide evidence of meeting the minimum posted requirements. A resume may be included with, but not substituted for, a completed application. Failure to fill in all required information, to clearly identify how you meet the minimum posted requirements, or to submit the application may result in delay or possible disqualification.

Are faxed or Xeroxed copies of applications acceptable?
Only online applications are accepted.
What does the deadline mean?
Some position announcements include a deadline date for receipt of the completed application. The online application must be submitted to the Human Resources Office in Cocoa by 5 PM on the deadline date. An application received after the deadline will not be considered or retained. Some position announcements remain open until finalists are identified if no deadline date is established.
How are interviews scheduled?
All applications are forwarded to a supervisor or committee for review and determination of those to be contacted for an interview. Because of the volume of inquiries, candidates are not notified if they are not chosen for an interview.
How are hiring determinations made?
After interviews and reference checks, the supervisor identifies the candidates considered the best match for the position and submits a recommendation through channels to the AVP for Human Resources. The Human Resources Office addresses salary considerations. No other office or individual, except the President, is authorized to discuss, offer, or in any manner obligate the College to any salary or employment arrangement. Pending successful salary determination and approval by the AVP for Human Resources, the President makes the hiring decision.
What if an applicant needs help completing the online application?
The applicant should contact Human Resources via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 321-433-7070 or 1-800-955-8770 (Florida Relay) for the hearing impaired. With at least 24 hours advance notice, the College can provide readers, Braille, audio cassettes, computer readers, sign language interpreters and Scribes.
How does one claim Veterans’ Preference when applying for a position?
When applying for an eligible position for Veterans’ Preference, an applicant is required to complete the Veterans’ Preference Application Form and is required to submit proper documentation (DD-214 or equivalent certification from the VA), along with any other required documentation to Human Resources prior to the deadline for the position.
