Welcome to Eastern Florida State College

Each adjunct faculty member brings unique knowledge and learning opportunities to our students. In order to make your association with the College a pleasant one, this web section consolidates essential information and available resources.
To provide for future needs as vacancies occur, the College compiles and maintains a database of qualified candidates for part-time teaching opportunities for all of its campuses. Minimum Qualifications
Baccalaureate or University-Parallel Programs: Master's degree with a major in the primary teaching area OR Master's degree with
18 graduate semester hours in the primary teaching area.
Technical Programs: Master’s degree with specialization in primary teaching area, or a Bachelor’s degree
with specialization in primary teaching area with 3 years of relevant employment experience,
or AA/AS degree with specialization in primary teaching area with 6 years of relevant
employment experience.
Vocational Programs: Master’s degree with specialization in primary teaching area, or a Bachelor’s degree
with specialization in primary teaching area with 3 years of relevant employment experience,
or AA/AS degree with specialization in primary teaching area with 6 years of relevant
employment experience, or High School diploma with relevant licenses or certifications
and 6 years of relevant employment experience.
Continuing Education Programs: Appropriate degree, experience or demonstrated expertise in teaching area.
All adjunct assignments are for only one semester at a time, dependent upon student enrollment and upon the needs of the College.
