Facials Specialty Program

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, EFSC is not accepting Facial Specialty program applications for Fall Term 2020 and will not begin a new student cohort in the Fall. Cosmetology training requires close personal contact and it would not be possible to maintain the required social distancing. Students can apply for the Spring 2021 program, scheduled to start in February, with an application deadline of January 10, 2021.

Thank you for your interest in the Cosmetology Specialist — Facials Specialty Program. The Cosmetology Department usually offers the Facials Specialist program in Fall (August) term and Spring (February) term at the Cocoa Campus. You can check availability of program start at 321-433-7549. Admission requires a special application process. Hours are normally held during the day. Students earn 260 contact hours. Program graduates receive certificates from the Cosmetology Department.

facialThis program is intended to prepare students for employment as Estheticians (facial specialists). They may work in beauty salons, day spas, dermatologist offices, plastic surgeons' offices, and major cosmetic companies, as well as theme parks as make-up specialists. Classroom and clinical instruction prepare the student to function as an esthetician in varied settings and roles. Instruction is designed to qualify students for obtaining a registration from the State Board of Cosmetology.

Applicants will attend a group orientation conducted by the instructor of the program. They will be notified by mail to verify the date of the orientation, after the application deadline.

It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure his or her application is complete.
