Expand your health career options
The Advanced Allied Health specialization equips graduates with entry level management, group dynamic and supervisory skills as they relate to the allied health discipline.
Successful completion of this program allows students to pursue positions in nursing home administration, as counselors, geriatric program developers, social service coordinators and work in clinical or healthcare administration.
Students are prepared to work in the fields of health policy development, public health, product development, pharmaceutical sales and science journalism or pursue additional education in a graduate program.
The Program Guide outlines the progression of the program and helps with planning, plus the official Applied Health Sciences curriculum provides course details.
The Advanced Allied Health admissions process follows the general bachelor's degree enrollment steps.
The Advanced Allied Health Specialization is open to students with an A.S. or A.A. degree from a regionally accredited institution. An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree does not meet the minimum eligibility requirement for entry into this program. AAS degree holders who intend to transfer into the BAS program should consult with an academic advisor to review coursework and determine the best transfer options.
The first step in achieving your degree is always personalized advising so stay in close touch with the bachelor's advising team through the contact information on this page as they help you plan courses and review any prerequisite requirements.
