Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a tutoring appointment?
Virtual tutoring is by appointment only. On-campus appointments aren't needed for math, science or writing tutoring at the Palm Bay Learning Lab. Making an appointment insures that you can see a tutor at a specific time.
How long are tutoring sessions?
Tutors do not set a time limit on sessions, except for writing appointments. Appointment sessions may be limited to 45 minutes. Some sessions may be group sessions, when, for example, more than one person wants to work on chemistry homework or a specific math problem.
Could a tutor look over a non-class writing, like a resume or scholarship essay?
Yes! As long as you are taking classes at EFSC, writing tutors will review resumes or scholarship essays with you.
