Step 1:  Visit the Center for Service-Learning & Complete Student Application

If unable to visit an office, complete the Online Service Learning Application.

Step 2:  Discuss Service-Learning Intention

Are you doing the project for credit? Do you hope to learn more about your area of career interest? The Center for Service-Learning staff can discuss these questions and more.

Step 3:  Review Community Partner Link Directory for Volunteer Opportunities

Step 4:  Identify Community Partner Options and Obtain Required Forms

 
    • If student is interested in 4th Credit Option, contact an Advisor and contact Center for Service-Learning to discuss requirements

    • Center for Service-Learning offers a Citizen Scholar Program. Contact Center for Service-Learning to obtain more Information

Step 5:  Contact Community Partner(s) to Obtain Approvals and Return Placement Confirmation to Center for Service-Learning

Step 6:  Complete Volunteer Hours with Approved Community Partner and Submit COMPLETED/APPROVED Community Service-Learning Hour Report (SHOAT) Form to Center for Service-Learning

Step 7:  Complete Service-Learning Questionnaire
