EFSC Students Represent College at Florida Undergraduate Research Conference
April 6, 2016 - EFSC students took part in the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference during the spring term at The University of Tampa. 20 students and five faculty members attended, representing the Melbourne, Titusville and Palm Bay campuses.
Included among the group were 10 student poster presenters, covering such topics as the effects of garlic and ginger on bacterial growth; the impact of freshwater intrusion on saltwater species of the Indian River Lagoon; the visual function of tarpon within their habitat; and a study of gall formation in plant life. Several posters included original student research.
Faculty in attendance were Dr. Ashley Spring, Mr. Scott Herber, Dr. Lynta Thomas, Mr. Chris Petrie and Dr. Warren Jones. Current A.A. students who were present included Caitlyn Branch, Renaldo Seecharan, Johanna Victorero, Ashley Rouch, Destiny Edmon, Pamela Davis, Brieanna Chankersingh, Kristin Cutshaw, Joseph Goode, Franklin Thornburgh, Daniel Moffitt and Leah Coleman. Current BAS students at the conference included Marshall Kemper, Price Tipping and Dillon Pierce.
