EFSC Trustee to Serve in Gubernatorial Transition Role
December 12, 2018 - Alan Landman, chair of the Eastern Florida State College Board of Trustees, has been named to a transition advisory committee by Florida Gov.-elect Ron DeSantis.
Landman, a Melbourne attorney, is among a diverse group of 45 experts who will serve on the Transition Advisory Committee on Public Safety.
The committee will advise DeSantis on issues related to crime, community safety, law enforcement, victims rights and government accountability.
Landman has served on the EFSC Board of Trustees since 2009 and played a central leadership role in the college's unprecedented expansion of new academic programs and degrees for students.
He first served as the Board's chair from 2011-14, and was renamed to the post by fellow trustees in 2015-16 and again in 2017.
Landman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1984 and his law degree from UF in 1987.
