The $100,000 contribution has significantly increased the Foundation’s ability to help students pay for their education, with about 500 students receiving scholarships annually through its work.

“All of us on the Boniface Hiers team continue to be impressed with the new career opportunities the college is giving to its students,” said A.J. Hiers, the company’s President and CEO.

“That helps our entire community as well and we’re proud to support the college through the scholarship dollars that our donation provides to the Foundation.”

College President Dr. Jim Richey called the donation “very generous and something that is helping students improve their lives in important ways.”

“We’re very grateful to Boniface Hiers Automotive Group for everything they’re doing to help our students succeed,” said Richey. “It’s a testament to their deep involvement in our community.”

The EFSC Foundation was established in 1971. It has awarded more than $2.5 million in scholarships in recent years with every dollar helping the students it serves.
