Professor’s Compositions Showcased in Major Cities and Cuba

The musical compositions of Dr. Chan Ji Kim, Associate Professor of Music and Department Chair of Performing and Visual Arts at Eastern Florida State College, are being showcased in California, Florida, Oklahoma and Cuba this fall.

Among Dr. Kim’s compositions are her world premiere of Night Colors, a saxophone piece, held in Miami, and La Passegiata, a clarinet chamber piece held in Havana Cuba.

Dr. Kim’s composition CD was released last year by Parma Recordings.

The schedule includes:

Society of Composers, Inc. National Conference at the University of Florida, November 14 – 22.
La Passeggiata for bass clarinet duo, Unión de Escaritores y Artistas de Cuba in Havana, Cuba, November 12 -14.
