Quality preschool programs
Eastern Florida State College operates affordable child development programs at the Cocoa Campus that provides quality educational preschool programs to children ages 15 months to 5 years old, based on space availability. The center is open to the general community, EFSC students, alumni, faculty and staff. We provide state-funded Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK), which has received high VPK scores.
The primary goal of our center is to provide a safe, respectful and enriching environment in which children can develop to their highest potential. Our program focuses on the uniqueness of each child and the development of the whole child, using the theories and techniques of child psychologists Jean Piaget and Erik Erikson. Qualified and degreed Eastern Florida State College teaching staff structure the learning environment to initiate creativity and social skills in a loving atmosphere.
We encourage parent involvement through our parent advisory committee, volunteering, fundraising and planning special events for children and families. EFSC students are also involved as part of the College’s educational program, so they can receive practical hands-on learning and teaching experiences.
Eastern Florida State College is proud to be part of the Early Learning Coalition of Brevard County, the school-readiness coalition that coordinates local Voluntary Preschool Programs and subsidized child care.Learn More
