Eastern Florida's Tennis Team Falls 7-2

April 3, 2014 - Eastern Florida's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota in Bradenton on Thursday.

The loss dropped Eastern Florida to 3-8. State College of Florida improved to 10-1 with its ninth straight victory.

Eastern Florida continues its four matches in four days odyssey visiting St. Petersburg College at 3 p.m. Friday. The Titans then return home for their final two regular-season matches hosting Broward College at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Hillsborough Community College at noon on Sunday, both at Melbourne's Jimmy Moore Tennis Complex. Admission is free.

The Titans then have three days to prepare for the April 10-12 FCSAA Tournament at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs. The tournament will be seeded based on results of regular-season matches between the six FCSAA teams: Eastern Florida, Broward, Hillsborough, St. Petersburg, State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota and Florida State College Jacksonville.

The top three teams in the FCSAA tournament advance to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Tyler, TX in May.
