Washburn University Next Up for Eastern Florida Women's Tennis

March 19, 2014 - Eastern Florida's women's tennis team returns to action on Thursday playing NCAA Division II Washburn University at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rollins College in Winter Park.

Eastern Florida is 3-6 in its inaugural spring championship season. Washburn, of Topeka, KS, is 1-6.

Eastern Florida will go with its standard lineup of freshman Isabella Sella and sophomore Kaila Cochran at No. 1 doubles; sophomore Kasey Love and freshman Hope Fellows at No. 2 doubles and freshmen Erica Nielsen and Laura Gorski at No. 3 doubles. Sella plays No. 1 singles, Love No. 2, Cochran No. 3, Fellows No. 4, Nielsen No. 5 and Gorski No. 6.

The match is a break from the Titans NJCAA Region 8/Florida College System Activities Association schedule that resumes with matches at State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota on Friday, March 28 and at St. Petersburg College on March 29.

Two more NJCAA/FCSAA matches conclude the regular season, a visit from Broward College on April 5 and a visit from Hillsborough Community College on April 6. Both matches will be played at the Jimmy Moore Tennis Complex at Sarno and Wickham roads in Melbourne.

The FCSAA tournament, which will send three teams to the NJCAA Division I National Championship, follows on April 10-11 in Altamonte Springs.
