Feb. 25, 2014 - Eastern Florida's women's tennis team seeks to get back on the winning track as it plays NCAA Division III Alma College of Michigan at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs.

Eastern Florida, playing its inaugural NJCAA Division I spring championship season, is 1-2, beating Region 8 foe Florida State College Jacksonville 6-3 and losing to Region 8 foes Hillsborough Community College (9-0) and St. Petersburg College (7-2).

Alma was blanked 9-0 by Oakland University on Sunday and 9-0 by Palm Beach Atlantic on Monday.

The Titans return home to Melbourne's Jimmy Moore Tennis Complex for a 1 p.m. Friday match with Region 8 foe State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota. Admission to the courts at Sarno and Wickham roads is free.

Titans head coach Chuck Jacobs will field a lineup of freshman Isabella Sella at No. 1 singles, sophomore Kasey Love at No. 2, sophomore Kaila Cochran at No. 3, freshman Hope Fellows at No. 4, freshman Erica Nielsen at No. 5 and freshman Laura Gorski at No. 6.

Doubles teams will be Sella and Cochran, Love and Fellows and Nielsen and Gorski.

"I think the players are focused and have really stepped up their preparations going into the match tomorrow and Friday," Jacobs said. "I don't think they will be satisfied unless we are above .500 at the end of the week."
