Feb. 8, 2014 - Eastern Florida State College successfully launched its women's tennis program on Saturday defeating nationally seventh-ranked Florida State College Jacksonville 6-3 at the Jimmy Moore tennis courts in Melbourne.

Eastern Florida, ranked 16th nationally based on its fall season, got singles wins from freshman Isabella Sella and sophomore captain Kalia Cochran. Sella and Cochran teamed for a doubles victory as did sophomore Kasey Love and freshman Hope Fellows.

In doubles Sella and Cochran defeated Bailey Palmer and Olivia Rolle 8-1 while Love and Fellows beat Alexa Brandalik and Samantha Powell 8-4.

In singles Sella defeated Bailey Palmer 6-2, 1-6, (10-8) while Cochran beat Ragan Palmer 6-3, 6-3. Rolle beat Love 6-2,1-6, (10-5), Powell beat Fellows 6-2, 6-1 and Brandalik  beat freshman Laura Gorski 6-1, 6-1.

The Titans next home match is 1 p.m. Feb. 28 against FCSAA foe Florida State College Manatee-Sarasota. Admission to matches at the Moore courts is free.
