Eastern Florida Women to Play Jones County for Right to Advance to National Tournament

Nov. 4, 2013 - Eastern Florida State College's women's soccer team plays Jones County Junior College of Mississippi on Friday for the NJCAA District 8 championship and the right to advance to the Nov. 18-23 NJCAA Division I Women's National Championship Tournament.

First kick is 2 p.m. Central time (3 p.m. Eastern) in Ellisville, MS. Live statistics during the match will be available at

Jones County is 17-1 and ranked 14th nationally by the NJCAA. Eastern Florida is 10-2-1 and ranked 12th nationally by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Eastern Florida is the defending district champion and is hosting the NJCAA tournament for the third straight season, the first on its new Melbourne Campus facility.

The Titans finished as the national runner-up in 2012.
