Lady Titans Soccer Downs Illinois

October 11, 2012 - Brevard Community College women’s soccer team improved to 9-1 on the season Thursday night with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Illinois Central College in a game played on the campus of Polk State CC.

The win was BCC’s seventh in a row, while the loss drops Illinois Central to 6-9 on the season.

Amanda Lodge and Gabriela Jaimes scored for the Lady Titans, and Courtney Hueston added an assist.

Central Illinois got their lone goal on a penalty kick in the 38th minute of the 2nd half.

Beyond Thursday BCC plays its final home game of the season this Sunday at 11 a.m. against Middle Georgia College, at Max K. Rodes Park in West Melbourne. BCC concludes the regular season with road matches against Dakota County Technical College of Minnesota at 4 p.m. Oct. 20 at Polk; at Polk State at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 and at conference and region foe Broward College at 3 p.m. on Oct. 26. BCC then travels to Mississippi on Nov. 3 for the district final to play for a spot in the NJCAA national tournament from Nov. 11-17 at Melbourne Central Catholic.
