BCC Ranked Third in National Women's Soccer Poll

September 12, 2012 - The Brevard Community College women's soccer team is third in the weekly NJCAA Division I poll after being ranked No. 1 in the nation a week ago.

The Titans are ranked 10th nationally in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll, up from 14th a week ago.

BCC has a win-loss record of 2-1 following a 2-1 overtime defeat of Butler (Kan.) Community College and a 4-1 loss to Tyler (Tex.) Junior College last weekend in Kansas.

Hutchinson, Kan., is first in the NJCAA poll followed by Tyler and BCC. Butler is tied for sixth with Monroe (N.Y.) College. Brevard's Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference foe Polk State is eighth in the NJCAA rankings and ninth in the NSCAA.

Butler is No. 1 in the NSCAA rankings. Tyler is fourth.

Brevard plays at Darton College, ranked 14th in the NSCAA poll, on Saturday in Albany, GA.

BCC visits Polk in the first of six crucial Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference games on Tuesday and plays at conference foe Broward on Friday.
