EFSC Men's Soccer Bounces Back with 10-0 Win

Perhaps “bellowed a message” would be a more apt description, as the Titans hammered Hinds Community College 10-0.

Nine EFSC players scored in the match, in which they outshot the Mississippians 32-2 yet did not even begin to score until the 41st minute.

“It was shot, shot, shot, crossbar, save, shot, but after the first goal went in, the floodgates opened,” Twelvetrees said.

Kyle Edmonds was served a ball by Romario Grant to start the rout and Farias Oscar Juarez netted off an assist by Ian Carey less than two minutes later.

Grant scored in the 47th minute, with the assist to Sergio Segura; Segura hit the net in the 56th, aided by Justin Gavin; Juarez struck a second time in the 63rd with another assist to Grant; Jordan Muir in the 67th, having been served by Juarez; Colton Johnson in the 72nd, with the second assist to Juarez; Gavin struck in the 77th with help from Mikey Seng; and Khori Foster scored in the 85th, with the assist to Shahri Sepehri.

Muir helped Seng to the goal in the 86th to close out scoring.

“It was a bit of a mismatch but the boys wanted to say something after not getting the result Friday,” Twelvetrees said. “It was a very impressive performance.”

The Titans next visit the University of Tampa at 7 p.m. Friday in Tampa.
