Eastern Florida Men's Soccer Wins Fourth Straight

Sept. 21, 2013 - Eastern Florida State College's first-year men's soccer team added another victory to its resume on Saturday, defeating host Georgia Perimeter College 2-1.

Eastern Florida, ranked 11th nationally by the NJCAA and 12th by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, won its fourth straight game to improve to 5-1.

Georgia Perimeter, ranked 13th by the NJCAA and 14th by the NSCAA, fell to 4-2-2.

Eastern Florida conceded first but got goals from Romario Grant with an assist from Brandon Loafman and from Kevyn McFarlane on an assist from Keenan King for the victory.

Goalkeeper Jorge Madera made six saves for Eastern Florida.

"It was a very impressive display in difficult weather (rainy) conditions," Eastern Florida head coach Oliver Twelvetrees said.

"We showed a lot of heart to come back from behind and win the game."

Eastern Florida concludes its Georgia trip on Sunday with a 2 p.m. match against Andrew College in Cuthbert.
