BCC Men's Soccer Filling Out Roster With New Signees

May 16, 2013 - Brevard Community College head men's soccer coach Oliver Twelvetrees has announced the signing of 11 players as he continues to assemble the Titans inaugural intercollegiate men's team.

BCC, which will compete starting July 1 under its new name, Eastern Florida State College, opens its season on Aug. 23 against Mississippi Gulf Coast in Perkinston, MS.

The Titans first home match on the Melbourne Campus is Sept. 14 against Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference and NJCAA Region 8 foe Broward College.

The new recruits are:

Jarumi Bonner, defense. Winter Springs. Club: Florida Rush. ODP State Florida team. "Jarumi is a dominant physical presence on the pitch and is a great athlete, I think he can develop into a top class center back," Twelvetrees said.

Alejandro Diaz, attacking midfield. Miami Beach High. Club: Plays for Coach Victor Pastora at Weston USDA Academy. "Alejandro has great feet, can beat defenders with ease and is very comfortable anywhere in the attacking third. He will be a major threat to every defense we face," Twelvetrees said.

Khori Foster, right back. American Heritage High. Palm Beach All-County first team 2009. Broward All-County first team 2007 and 2008. American Heritage 2008 state finals runner‐up. 2009 Weston FC USDA team. 2008 Shultz USDA team. Top Drawer Soccer Top 10 player in Florida. "Khori has great speed and will be the perfect attacking right back in the offensive minded system we will be playing," Twelvetrees said.

Keenan King, Boyton Beach, FL

Keenan King, midfield. Boynton Beach High. All-State, All-Conference and All-Star game selection. Club: Plays for Coach Chris Sousa at Boca United. Disney Qualifier Champions. "Keenan is a very talented lefty, who can play anywhere across the midfield as well as an attacking left back.  He has tremendous work rate and will provide immediate leadership and determination for the Titans," Twelvetrees said.

Daniel Lamah, forward. Clearwater High. Club: Clearwater Chargers. ODP Region team. "Daniel 'Dede' originally from Liberia is a true goal scorer, he has electric pace and power combine with good technique. He will be a handful with his ability to get behind defenses," Twelvetrees said.

Kevyn McFarlane, center midfield. Palm Beach Lakes. Club: Plays for coaches Safet Huseinovic and Tom Power at FC Florida. "Kevyn is one of the most talented players in South Florida. He is strong, great on the ball and has the ability to put the ball anywhere he wants to. I am excited to work with Kevyn and help him go to the very top of the game," Twelvetrees said.

Ariel Ramirez, center midfield. Doral Prep Academy. All-Dade County second team. Club: Plays for Coach Henry Apaloo at Kendall USDA Academy team.  "Ariel is a tough defensive midfielder who will add steel and determination to our midfield as well as good range of passing," Twelvetrees said.

Josue Rodriguez, center midfield. Miami Senior High. All-Conference selection. Club: Plays for Coach Henry Pedraza at West Pines United. State tournament runner-up 2012. "Josue is a very intelligent and composed player, he has the ability to control the tempo of the game and dictate from his favored deep lying play-making position," Twelvetrees said.

Ivan Magalaes Santos, defender. Joao XXIII School, R Antonio Bernardes, São Paulo, Brazil. Played for the 2004 state champion São Paulo F.C. youth team and was first team all-state; 2005: State vice champion São Paulo F.C. youth team; 2006: State Champion São Paulo F.C  youth team. Named MVP; 2010-2012: Corinthians youth team. "Ivan is a tremendous talent and a great person," Twelvetrees said. "He will provide immediate leadership, athleticism and experience at center back for the Titans first- year team. I expect Ivan to be one of the top defenders in the NJCAA as a freshman."

James Togbah, forward. Beech Senior High. District MVP. All-state Selection. Plays club for Bryan Johnson at Tennessee Soccer Club. "James also is originally from Liberia and is a dynamic lefty forward who is strong on the ball and who can beat players with the ball at his feet. He can play anywhere across the front line," Twelvetrees said.

They join Michael O'Sullivan of Deltona and Orlando City of the U.S. Soccer U-18 Development Academy league, the program's first recruit. O'Sullivan will play center back on defense. He played for the English national U-14 team and after moving to the U.S. in 2009 he captained Florida's Olympic Development Team as well as captaining the Academy team.
