February 11, 2013 - Sophomore men's basketball co-captain Addison Spruill is Brevard Community College's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 10.

Spruill, a 6-foot, 4-inch power forward and guard from Pender High School in Currie, NC, scored 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and recorded six assists in BCC's crucial 96-82 Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference victory at Indian River State College on Saturday.

Spruill's effort resonated with BCC head coach Jeremy Shulman.

"Addison is very deserving of the award," Shulman said. "He was absolutely fantastic, coming close to a triple-double. He's our leader every night and just seems to get better and better as we go along."

Spruill leads BCC in scoring, averaging 16.5 points per game and is tied for second in rebounding with 6.6 per game.

The Titans are 21-6 and 7-2 in the conference and await first-place Palm Beach State, which leads BCC by a game. Palm Beach visits the Melbourne Campus gym for a 7 p.m. Wednesday showdown this week.
