BCC Golfers Win Three-Way Match

March 12, 2013 - Brevard Community College's golf team outscored St. Peter's University of New Jersey and Holy Cross College of South Bend, IN on Tuesday to win a one-day match at Rockledge Country Club.

BCC shot 275 for 18 holes to 298 for Holy Cross and 299 for St. Peter's.

BCC's Arthur Leonard and Keith Greene both shot 68 for to share medalist honors on a windy afternoon.

Other BCC scores were Anthony Skirk 69, Blake Biggs 70, Kyle Benson 71 and Nick Maynard 77.

The victory was the third of the spring season for BCC, which outshot St. Bonaventure University in a one-day match and won the two-day Elizabeth Kling Invitational at Faulkner State in Alabama.

"I have been looking for the sophomores to step up all year and all three – Greene, Skirk and Biggs – figured in the scoring today," BCC head coach Jamie Howell said.

Next up for BCC is the two-day 54-hole Panther Invitational tournament hosted next Monday and Tuesday by Florida Tech at The Majors in Palm Bay.
