Eastern Florida Women's Basketball Hosts Miami Dade on Monday

Feb. 15, 2014 - Eastern Florida's women's basketball team begins its stretch of its final four games as it hosts Miami Dade College at 7 p.m. Monday at the Melbourne Campus gym.

Admission is free.

Eastern Florida is 5-21 overall and 2-10 in the Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference. Miami Dade is 8-18 and 5-7.

Conference foe St. Petersburg College follows Miami Dade into town, visiting the Melbourne Campus gym at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Eastern Florida then travels to Fort Pierce to wrap up its conference schedule with a 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 game against Indian River State. The Titans conclude their season with a 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24 Sophomore Night game against Trinity Baptist College of Jacksonville.

Freshmen Jessica Doyle and Rachelle Aupont are leading the Eastern Florida offense averaging 18.2 and 12.7 points per game respectively. The duo combined for 48 of Eastern Florida's 60 points in a loss to Palm Beach State on Tuesday, Aupont netting 32 and Doyle 16.

Aupont also is averaging 10.2 rebounds per game and has recorded seven double-doubles (points and rebounds) in her last eight games.
